Aging services: in-home services- coordinated staff activities are provided by trained care managers to determine with the client what services are needed and to coordinate their provision. Clients are carefully evaluated to determine types and levels of services needed. Clients and services are monitored regularly and adjustments in services are made when appropriate. These senior centers provide an array of services to the senior population which include, but are not limited to:congregate mealssocialization/recreational activities/opportunitieslife skills education-health & safety, consumer education/protection, nutrition education, self-enrichment educationcrime preventionarts & craftscomputer classesexercise programsvolunteer opportunitieshealth promotion activities# of people served in 2021-2022 - 1,319 units of service provided 2021-2022 - 68,373
Food services--to support nutrition services including nutritious meals, nutrition education and other services for seniors.
Medical assistance transportation program--the Agency has been designated by the Mercer County commissioners as the managing unit for the Mercer County medical assistance transportation program (matp). Funds for these services are provided by the pa dept. Of human services to support transportation services to medical assistance recipients who need medical care. The Agency arranges transportation services for eligible persons to receive medical care, and provides reimbursement for those who provide their own transportation.
