Merakey USA continued its administrative and supportive services for its affiliated entities throughout fy 2022. It assisted entities in providing services to individuals through technology, regulatory guidance, and consultative support through a rapidly changing pandemic environment.merakey USA lead fy22 with 7,757 employees spread over six departments. Those employees served 34,340 individuals at 661different sites via 1,037 outstanding programs.guiding Merakey are the following:our purpose: putting our heart and soul into exceptional care.our vision: to be a nationally recognized provider of the highest quality health and human services.our core values: compassion, diversity, integrity, safety, trust, and qualitymerakey's focus on diversity continues to deepen, through the work of various employee resource groups (erg) like the black / african american erg, the lgbtq+ erg, and the women's erg. These ergs helped organize a first-of-its-kind "share the love" celebrating black history month and the lgbtq+ community in february. The lgbtq+ erg, with the collaboration of Merakey's dei committee, grew their annual events honoring pride month (june) and national coming out day (october 11). In march, Merakey recognized the two-year anniversary of when covid-19 officially brought the organization and the world to a standstill. During a virtual ceremony, ceo joe martz was joined by several operational leaders across the organization for a moment of silence to remember those we lost and to pay tribute to Merakey's heroes.merakey's quality and compliance organization was awarded another three-year accreditation from the health ethics trust (het). The het, part of the council of ethical organizations, is a non-profit, non-partisan organization established in 1994 as an educational and service resource for healthcare organizations advancing ethics and compliance in healthcare. Since 2008, Merakey has been recognized by the het for its commitment to quality and compliance throughout the organization.two exceptional leaders from Merakey parkside recovery in philadelphia were each awarded with a "making a difference" award from the philadelphia mayor's commission on addiction and recovery (mcar). Dr. raymond bobb, medical director, and lori gabert, regional director from Merakey parkside recovery were acknowledged at the 24th annual "making a difference" award virtual recognition event. Dr. bobb and lori were nominated by their staff members because of their unending commitment and tireless efforts to assist individuals challenged by substance use disorders and those at risk within the philadelphia community.through crucial feedback received from an employee engagement survey, several initiatives and staff programs were launched to reaffirm our investment in our workforce. These programs included dailypay, a same-day payment program to help employees get their wages faster, a partnership with care.com for discounts on assistance for employee's family care, and pryor learning, an online training platform and knowledge database to help employees expand their skills and explore new subjects. Financial perks were also expanded through company-wide employee referral bonus and mileage reimbursement programs.merakey also became accredited by praesidium in fy22, the national leader in abuse risk management. This year-plus long accreditation process involved evaluation of all areas of operations including policies, screening, and hiring, training, supervision and monitoring, administrative policies, and consumer participation. Accreditation from praesidium demonstrates our commitment to providing the highest quality services and a zero-tolerance environment for abuse of any kind for those within our care. Merakey's extended acute care programs in lehigh county, pa are certified in the sanctuary model which promotes safety and recovery from adversity. The sanctuary model is based on the recognition that trauma is pervasive in the human experience and seeks to relieve trauma for people who seek treatment and also the people and systems who provide that treatment. The commission on accreditation of rehabilitation facilities (carf) helps service providers improve the quality of their services and meet internationally recognized standards. Merakey's community housing programs for adults with autism are carf accredited and are recognized for their commitment to improving the lives of the people served.merakey is proud to have our dual diagnosis treatment teams (ddtt) accredited by nadd. The national association for persons with disabilities and mental health needs (nadd) was developed to improve the effectiveness of services provided to individuals with a dual diagnosis.
