Program areas at Mental Health Coalition of Teton Va
Case management: this program assists Teton Valley residents in navigating the complex Mental Health system so they get the care they need. It connects people to Mental Health providers and resources and is open to any resident. Served 360 people through connection to: counseling referrals, Health insurance navigation, self paced therapy resources, medical services and other community service organizations, and enrollment in the community counseling program for free therapy.
Outreach and education program: this program provides educational opportunities to organizations and the general public. It normalizes Mental Health care; increases awareness of local resources, supports, and care strategies; and gives the people of our community the knowledge, confidence, means, and ability they neey to thrive. Trained 307 community members in Mental Health topics such as Mental Health first aid, suicide prevention, trauma informed care, and positive youth development.
Community counseling program: this program provides funding for six free sessions with a local Mental wellness provider to any Valley resident in need. The program is intended to improve help-seeking behavior among Teton Valley residents experiencing a Mental Health condition, reduce barriers to receiving Mental Health care, increase safety and reduce deaths by suicide, and increase connection to formal and informal resources and supports. Provided 273 free counseling sessions to some of Teton Valley's most vulnerable residents.
