(aka unc medicine), fosters private gift support of programs throughout the school of medicine and unc hospitals. Unc medicine is the fundraising engine that powers philanthropic investment for the university of north carolina's top-notch medical education programs, clinical and scientific research initiatives, and patient care infrastructure. Unc medicine raises critical funding to train the next generation of expert caregivers, move world-renowned research from the bench to the bedside, and provide the best possible care to people in every county in north carolina and every corner of the world. In the past fiscal year, the foundation received nearly 25,000 gifts from over 15,000 donors, closing out a record-breaking year.
