Meals on Wheels of Greater Newburgh prepares hot and cold meals, cooked by their own chefs, and delivers them to homebound individuals who are unable to cook for themselves due to age, illness, injury or disability. Last year, they delivered 12,213 hot/cold meals and 3,276 frozen meals to those unable to leave their homes. The program is run solely by volunteers who drive directly to the individual's home.

Program areas at Meals on Wheels of Greater Newburgh

In 2023 we prepared and delivered 14,719 hot/cold Meals and 3,466 frozen Meals to individuals confined to their homes and unable to cook for themselves due to age, illness, injury or disability. This is our only program. Meals are delivered by volunteers who drive their own cars and pay for their own gasoline expenses. In 2023, the total Meals delivered were 18,185 as compared to 2022 when we delivered 15,489 Meals.
