Program areas at MSBA
The Association publishes print and electronic law journals. "the Maryland Bar journal" is is published bi-monthly and each issue is devoted to a legal theme. The journal keeps members abreast of legal trends and informed about updates and changes in the law. "the lawyers manual" is the most comprehensive lawyer and judge directory in Maryland which also includes a complete directory of government agencies.the Association offers a series of twenty-four easy-to-read guides designed to inform the public about common legal problems. "msba Bar brief" is the electronic monthly newsletter keeping members abreast of the latest Association news and issues, calendar of events, meetings, law practice tips, and alerts on breaking news that Maryland attorneys need to know.
The Association's annual and mid-year meetings offer an opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues and sharpen their skills through instructional sessions and presentations by prominent members of the profession.
The Association is organized in sections, to promote the interests of particular segments of the membership. The thirty sections keep the membership informed of legislative issues and new developments in various fields. In addition to networking and mentoring opportunities, sections offer timely publications, services, and most importantly, a collective voice to improve the practice of law for members and their clients.
