Program areas at Marshfield Area YMCA
Youth development . We believe all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. We provided $80,870 in assistance for children and teen programs including child care, after school, youth aquatics, day camp, water wise, and youth sports programs. In 2022, 2,071 kids were enrolled in these programs that enabled them to learn, grow, and thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.
Social responsibility. We believe in giving back to our neighbors. For 33 years we have been developing skills and emotional well- being through welcoming all people and building a healthier community through collaborations. We provided in-kind support valued at $58,510 to 37 community- based organizations and individuals through facility usage, emergency covid childcare, access to training, partnership and free programs open to the entire community. In addition, we helped 286 people and businesses give back and assist their neighbors by offering them opportunities to volunteer, advocate and support programs that strengthen community.
Healthy living. We are committed to helping people live longer and healthier lives. With a mission centered on balance, we bring families closer together, encourage good health, and foster connections through fitness, sports, fun , and shared interests. In 2022, $112,000 in direct assistance was provided to children, adult and families to allow them to afford their memberships and wellness programs. 9,460 children, adults and seniors were active and engaged members and program participants through our personal fitness activities and wellness classes.
