Program areas at Marlboro Music
To create a summer study program and community in southeastern Vermont in which 90 diverse musicians share insights and ideas in intensive daily rehearsals, and live with one another, and with staff members, spouses and children for seven weeks.
To present several series of touring ensembles in major east coast cities, and single concerts in other communities, that bring exciting performances from our summer training program in Vermont to broader audiences who would not otherwise be able to experience them.
To present weekend concerts to audiences of approximately 6,000 per season, featuring exceptional performances of works that emanate from our intensive summer study program, and which introduce young emerging musical leaders, and rarely-heard and new compositions of special merit.
