Program areas at Manna
Manna's mission is to offer and advocate for quality, equitable, safe and sustainable housing by preserving and creating affordable for-sale and rental housing and provide pathways for long-term homeownership. Manna's expanded real estate portfolio includes over 300 existing affordable units that are planned for recapitalization and renovation, and over 215,000 square feet of housing to be newly constructed. Manna provides low-cost, and high-quality home buyer education with peer support through individual counseling, group classes, workshops, and monthly meetings. In 2021, Manna expanded its geographic reach to prince georges county, and expanded its service-delivery model as an intake center for the housing purchase assistance program that offers down payment assistance to first-time home purchasers in Washington dc.
