MaineHealth Services' mission is to lead the development of the premier community care network that provides a broad range of integrated health care services in Maine and Northern New England with the goal of improving the health status of the populations it serves in a cost effective manner. To that end MaineHealth Services provides the infrastructure both administratively and clinically to serve this purpose. Clinically, MaineHealth Services' investment in a System-wide shared electronic health record system ("SeHR") commenced in 2007 and is central to MaineHealth Services strategic plan. (Continued on Schedule O)(Continued from page 2 of 990, Line 4a) SeHR is an integrated suite of technology solutions to support healthcare delivery for the MaineHealth Services system, providers and the communities MaineHealth Services serves. Epic and Lawson solutions provide an integrated suite of software solutions for managing most clinical, business and financial processes. The integration of these solutions has enabled and will continue to enable caregivers and patients, regardless of the setting, to obtain a more comprehensive view of information to facilitate further improvements in the delivery of safe, effective, and efficient care and advance MaineHealth Services vision of "one patient, one record". In keeping with our mission of improving the health of the communities we serve, MaineHealth Services also initiates a variety of grant agreements that will serve to further our mission. Some of the major grants we participate in are related to Tobacco Treatment, Tobacco Prevention, Statewide Toxicology Consultation and an Alzheimer's Disease Partnership. Additional administrative services such as management of office spaces and insurance programs occurs within MaineHealth Services.Effective 1/1/19 MaineHealth Services and its subsidiaries underwent a unification merger in which several of the subsidiaries were merged into one organization. The merger enables the combined resources of the merging entities to be allocated in a manner that is consistent with the system's mission of helping make the communities it serves the healthiest in America. Related to this unification some program activities previously conducted at the parent, MaineHealth Services, were shifted to the merged entity.
