The mshda esg adds short- and medium-term rental assistance and services to rapidly re-house Homeless people, and places greater emphasis on helping people quickly regain stability in permanent housing after experiencing a housing crisis and/or homelessness.
The cdbg entitlement program allocates annual grants to large cities and urban counties to develop viable communities by providing decent housing, a suitable living environment, and opportunities to expand economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income persons.
The hmis provides communities with valuable direction and technical assistance resources on strategies to collect information on Homeless persons. Hmis implementation presents communities with an opportunity to re-examine how Homeless services are provided in their community and to make informed decisions, and develop appropriate action steps.
