Direct to the People Program, Umbrella Name of individual programs supported in Turkey. Includes: Basak Kultur ve Sanat Vakit scholarships; Van Artistic Women's Association; Other Scholarship students located in Mersin, Van, Hakkari and Istanbul, Turkey; TEKSEV (Van Life Center); Life House in Urfa - refugee relief efforts, new Diyabakir Life Center.
Home Church Ministries provides a full-time pastor and other resources as requested and deemed appropriate to the Christian community in southeastern Turkey. Funds are needed for conferences, training, and family emergency relief.
The Paul H. Scheffler Entrepreneurial Endeavors and Van Textile Project have enabled the girls of Bostanici, a Van Province in Turkey to create "Girls Believing in Themselves" GBiT. The girls make tote bags, kilim hand bags and other items to be sold via the internet and LMD events in the US marketed under GBiT.All proceeds are returned to the girls to support themselves and their families.
