Program areas at LEPAA

The buddy holly hall brought more than 250,000 visitors to downtown Lubbock: 74 commercial productions in helen devitt jones theater; 200 local and community performances; 307 events in crickets theater.
The second annual kodaly institute symposium workshop was held in Lubbock july 2022, providing professional development and music education instruction to the 70 area professionals. Additionally, three professional recordings were held in the crickets theater.
Lepaa held its second annual buddy holly songwriters retreat and concert august 8-13, 2022. Thirty aspiring songwriters from across Texas, us and uk participated in the retreat. The songwriters met in small groups to collaborate with professional mentors through the creative process of songwriting. A showcase concert was held to debut the best songs written during the retreat and provided performers on-stage experiences.
14,200 Lubbock independent school district students performed in over 95 performances. The venue hosted three lisd teach in-service training events.
More than 8,600 school age students were impacted through community outreach programming at buddy holly hall, partnerships with lepaa, Lubbock symphony orchestra, ballet Lubbock, and ttu school of music.
A partnership with lepaa and american theater guild, staging the future is a program that provided 300 students, partents/guardians from the guadalupe parkway neighborhood centers to attend a broadway production of anastasia.
