Program areas at Love of North Marion County
In 2022 Love Inc managed to keep the doors open during leadership & financial transitions. In 2022 in spite of the challenges, Love Inc provided services for an upward of 4,000 clients, a 43% increase from 2021, in the North Marion County area. The most requested services were utility assistance, baby safety items (strollers, car seats, pack n plays, booster seats, diaper bag backpacks), personal and home care items and clothing. We have seen an increase in serving expectant mothers, due to our partnership with salud clinic, as their maternity case managers make referrals to Love Inc. Most clothing items are donated, and the business and individual community contributions have increased significantly, including a large clothing donation from walmart valued at $10,000. Our clothing ministry has enabled the creation of an infants clothing closet, in addition to children and adults. We have established new partnerships with family building blocks (fbb) who supplies diapers for distribution and as we distribute, Love Inc completes referrals to fbb. We are excited to continue to market, offer and provide free suicide prevention training, qpr (question, persuade and refer), in North Marion County.
