Program areas at LSFM

Museum Operations - The LSFM collection has more than 5,000 artifacts, 80 linear feet of archives, 2,000 photographs, 2,000 books in the research library, and 24 aircraft on display with highlighted STEM facts. The Texas Aviation Hall of Fame, which includes three U.S. presidents, embodies lessons in character and achievement.
Education - The Lone Star Flight Museum combines a comprehensive education program with an immersive aviation experience to inspire young people toward the study of STEM disciplines. LSFM offers the opportunity to understand Texas' aviation history through the evolution of science with experiential learning opportunities to excite and empower youth toward futures of promise and purpose.
Flight Program - Guests have the opportunity to meet the pilots and crew chiefs and fly in one of the Museum's historic planes and have the actual experience of how Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) combine to enable flight.
