Loma Linda University Behavioral Medicine Center (llubmc) provides psychiatric healthcare services to the community regardless of race, creed, sex, national origin, handicap, age or ability to pay. Although reimbursement for services is critical to the operation and fiscal stability of llubmc, it is recognized that not all individuals possess the ability to purchase essential medical services. Further, llubmc's motto "to make man whole" requires it to provide healthcare services and education to the entire community. In keeping with llubmc's commitment to serve all members of the community, many services--free care, subsidized care, care provided at or below cost to person covered by governmental programs and free education services--will be considered where the need and the individuals inability to pay coexist. As such from july - june 2018, llubmc has provided $1,948,584 in patient charity care.
