Field To Family works to create a more local, healthy, and sustainable food system. They envision a region where people eat with the seasons, where farmers make a living, and our ecosystem is diverse, abundant, and healthy. Through their partnership with over 70 local producers and vendors they have created a food hub that provides access to wholesale local foods for institutions such as school districts and food pantries as well as households living in USDA defined food desert areas. 71% of the producers are from Iowa City, IA.

Food hub: partnership with over 70 Local producers and vendors To create access To wholesale Local foods for institutions, primarily school districts and Food pantries, and To households who are living in usda defined Food desert areas. 71% of the producers we purchased from meet the usda's criteria as a socially disadvantaged producer. Of the 25 producers, 6 are run by black, indigenous and people of color growers. Field To Family's farm To school program provides Food system education for the next generation. We partner with educators To provide in-school Food system curriculum and educational activities, available in person and online.
