Program areas at Living with Wolves
Education & outreach - Living with Wolves helps to protect Wolves through education and information. We dispel misinformation and promote nonlethal conflict mitigation programs. We develop informational campaigns designed for print and online publication to broaden the public's understanding of the multifaceted aspects of Wolves and wolf recovery. These programs are also utilized to alert the public to policy changes and mobilize public participation. In 2023, we opened a museum in Idaho to establish a dedicated public presence to reach even more people.
Communications and messaging - all of our communications at Living with Wolves are intended to further our mission of promoting truth and understanding about Wolves, while encouraging coexistence and inspiring people to protect them. Our messages are intended to inform and spark discussion on how to ensure the survival of this misunderstood species. In addition to our website, books, educational guides, and other media, we also strive to keep the public informed about the current state of affairs and legislation in states with wolf populations. We also report on sound research, advocacy efforts, and the work of other wolf conservation organizations, while often collaborating in their efforts.
Wolf research - we support and collaborate with distinguished researchers to advance research in support of science-based wolf management. This research will yield valuable peer-reviewed publications with scientific findings that can be leveraged to effect policy changes and other co-existence solutions in states critical to wolf recovery.
