In her short 13 years, allison made a lasting impact on family and friends. Allison loved every aspect of school (even homework) but never had the opportunity To experience high school or college. To honor allison, one-time scholarships of 3,000 are awarded To successful ponderosa high school seniors aspiring To attend a 4-year university. The arms applicants must meet specific requirements which include: show financial need through a scholarship application, provide transcriptions showing maintenance of at least a 3.00 gpa through their high school career, a written essay of the student's education/career goals, show participation in extracurricular activities (sports, music, volunteering) or have held a job during high school, and provide two letters of recommendation. Dakshana Foundation dakshana Foundation focuses on poverty alleviation through education. Dakshana alleviates poverty by identifying brilliant but impoverished students predominantly from rural india and providing intensive coaching for 1-2 years for the iit and medical entrance exams. All donor funds are only used for direct dakshana scholar programs. We have donated To the endowment fund and 5% of the balance every year will be moved To the operating account. Endowment funds are managed by mohnish pabrai and are invested in equities in a very concentrated manner.
