All other Street Activations: Livable City provided technical assistance, professional development, and production services for low-income, minority communities to host their own block parties and culturally reflective events to recover from the pandemic in Bayview/Sunnydale, Fillmore/Western Addition, Chinatown, and Tenderloin, as well as supported communities citywide prepare for natural disasters via the Neighborfest Block Party program.
Livable Neighborhoods and Complete Streets: Livable City advocated for adoption and implementation of a strong and equitable Climate Plan for San Francisco, for policy changes and projects which create livable and walkable 15-minute neighborhoods across San Francisco, with more diverse housing choices and where the needs of daily life are located a short walk or bike ride from home, and for policy changes and programs which foster neighborhood-serving small businesses, services, and arts and cultural spaces, and public open spaces in San Francisco neighborhoods.
Sunday/Play Streets: Livable City assisted low-income communities access open space, recreation, economic recovery opportunities, and health resources with open street events in Chinatown, Bayview, Tenderloin, Excelsior, SoMa, and neighbor-run block parties citywide during the Rise Together season, the first annual Phoenix Day and the 2022 Sunday Streets SF season.
