Lions See promotes eye screening to decrease childhood blindness by training several dozen Lions to conduct vision screenings and using specialized equipment. Several thousand children are screened at multiple screening sites such as schools, day care facilities, and church schools. Approximately 10% of these children are referred to an eye doctor for early detection and treatment of common vision disorders that cause amblyopia throughout New York State.
