Program areas at LMEP
The Lincoln family medicine program (lfmp) is one of the country's preeminent community-based residency programs, attracting some of the brightest resident physicians in the u.s. and around the world. A fully accredited program, lfmp is affiliated with the university of Nebraska Medical center. The Lincoln family medicine program plays a crucial role in meeting the midwest's need for primary care physicians and operates the Lincoln family medicine center (lfmc). The lfmc is the primary Education site for the training of residents of lfmp. Functioning as a model group practice, lfmp residents care for patients in the center by appointment.
School community intervention and prevention (scip) is a program designed to bring together families, schools and the community to support student behaviorial and emotional health. Scip's mission is to provide an effective prevention and early intervention process for youth with behavioral health concerns, so they may achieve healthy, productive lives. Scip works with schools by providing tools and resources to address behavioral and emotional health issues that impact children, adolescents and their families.
Lincoln pediatric hospitalists work closely with various specialists, including family medicine providers, general surgeons, and other pediatricians to provide comprehensive care during a child's hospitalization. The pediatric hospitalists see patients in various departments, including pediatric acute care, newborn nursery, emergency department, labor and delivery, neonatal intensive care and pediatric intensive care.
