Lighthouse Guild is the leading not-for-profit vision + healthcare organization, with a long-standing heritage of addressing the needs of people who are blind or visually impaired as well as those with multiple disabilities or chronic medical conditions. Program areas at Lighthouse International

Lgi partnership with the adapt community network preschool continued with an lgi teacher for the visually impaired working in the preschool to identify and treat children with vision loss, and to modify the school environment to accommodate students with vision impairment. The model included the development of a teacher training program to further expand education for teachers working with children with vision impairment and to expand lgi's reach.
Other programs - research support the research institute translates scientific findings and technological advances into practical solutions for people living with vision loss today. The pisart award in vision science, awarded annually, recognizes an early-career vision clinician-scientist whose contributions to vision science have the potential for substantial influence.
Youth and teen programs include rehabilitation, education, and recreational classes and activities to individuals ages 6-21, including: a saturday youth skills program for those aged 6-13; a youth transition program for those ages 14-21; and a youth employment program for visually impaired students who wish to secure paying jobs in the community.
