LegalCORPS

In the past year, we have been the recipient of pro bono expertise and service from two other industries - a first for us. Here's what been keeping us busy: Last spring, via an "in kind" grant through Hands on Twin Cities, we were able to work with a team of IT consultants from a local corporate sponsor. This amazing and highly skilled team helped us create an online intake form that will be incorporated in our new website. When a prospective client completes and submits the form, it will automatically upload into Salesforce, significantly reducing staff time performing data entry. We also received a large service grant from Compass for assistance with a marketing project on branding and positioning that was worth approximately $60,000. The Compass team, comprised of industry experts donating their time and expertise, worked with our staff for nearly 6 months to develop a strategic marketing plan that we can gradually implement as time allows to increase our visibility and presence in the civil legal aid sphere. Our new website will be launched late this fall. As the first touchpoint that most stakeholders have with our organization, the new site is brighter and more streamlined, but mostly importantly, it will be more straightforward for everyone seeking to learn about LegalCORPS mission and programs. LegalCORPS served 1,173 clients during 2022 and nearly 1,800 in 2023. Delivered services were evenly divided between our three primary service delivery models: brief advice clinics, limited scope representation, and educational workshops and demand remains high.
