Program areas at Leadership Florida Statewide Community Foundation
Objective: the annual meeting is the largest event for all Leadership Florida graduates, drawing a diverse group of hundreds of leaders from across the state for a meeting designed to provide nonpartisan education on key issues facing Florida, inspire dialogue, and keep our membership engaged. Accomplishments: this year two annual meetings were held. In addition to our usual annual meeting in june, a second one was held in november.
Objective: to continue to engage graduates of Leadership Florida programs in post-class activities, including our annual meeting, inspiring them to remain active leaders for Florida and providing them with continuing education opportunities. Accomplishments: over 1,500 graduates of Leadership Florida programs connected and interacted with one another in meaningful forums and activities in nine active regions across the state, further expanding the impact of the organization.
Objective: to provide intensive Leadership training and nonpartisan information on critical issues facing Florida. This objective is obtained by the creation of four diverse classes (cornerstone, executive, connect, and education.) Class participants engage in multi-month curricula with sessions taking place in several cities across the state. Accomplishments: over 50 individuals participated in Leadership Florida cornerstone class, over 40 professionals under age 40 participated in connect class, and over 40 educators and education professionals participated in education class. Additionally, Leadership Florida provided programming to over 100 mayors through its partnership with the Florida league of mayors.
