Program areas at The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights

Communications: an informed public is not only necessary to achieve Civil and Human Rights, but also to make sure those Rights endure. Through creating training and tools, we are able to build a country that actively embraces commitment to justice. We do this by disseminating up-to-date information on Civil and Human Rights issues. By activating The power of The coalition, The Leadership Conference and our partners can share innovative research and information around The country - and ultimately, shift The narrative on Civil and Human Rights.
Fair courts: The fair courts campaign fights for an impartial and independent federal judiciary that protects The Civil and Human Rights of all.
All voting is local action: a campaign of The Leadership Conference that fights for policies and legislative priorities to make is easier to register to vote and ensure all votes are counted.on july 5, 2022, avla moved its operations and program to a new independent 501(c)(4) organization. All unspent avla grant balances as of may 31, 2022, were transferred to all voting is local action, in accordance with The spinoff agreement between The Leadership Conference and avla dated june 14, 2022.
Voting Rights: at The Leadership Conference, we are working to modernize elections and build a 21st century democracy. A democracy where all of our voices are heard. With our coalition partners, we inform The public, decision-makers, and The media about barriers to voting and advocate for policies that expand The right to vote, especially in communities of color. Voting, and The ability to participate in democracy, is a racial justice issue. It is a Civil Rights issue. and we are overdue for a change.
Criminal justice: influence federal legislation and agency policymaking around justice reform and advance federal legislative reforms The following areas: pre-trial justice reform, police accountability and militarization, sentencing and prison reform, and re-entry initiatives
Other programs, including economic security, education equity, census, fighting hate and bias, and immigrant Rights
Government affairs, field and policy: The Leadership Conference has served as The convener and organizer of The nation's leading Civil Rights organizations for The last 70 years. Throughout this time, The Leadership Conference has worked to unify and deploy The passions of The Civil Rights community and ensure engagement in support of our shared values. Together with our sister organization, The education fund, we fight for laws and policies that promote and protect The Civil and Human Rights of every person in The united states.
Media & technology: programs to ensure that new technologies further, not hinder, Civil Rights protections, and to expand media diversity and access to broadband.
