Program areas at Leadership Charlotte
The Leadership Charlotte program is for emerging and existing leaders. It is the organization's flagship program and is the backstage pass to the Charlotte community. It is a two-part program, starting with ten once-a-month program days in which approximately 60 participants explore current issues with a variety of community leaders. The program is complete after participants serve on a committee that coordinates one of these program days for the incoming class.
Each year, Leadership Charlotte offers a variety of social events and Leadership events, as well as an awards ceremony, for alumni in order to maintain communications with one another and the community.
Encounter Charlotte is a two-day orientation to Charlotte and to community Leadership. This program is open to newcomers to Charlotte and to those who simply want to get involved. Participants learn first-hand from a range of community leaders about what makes Charlotte work. Participants will come away with new relationships, a greater knowledge of the local community, and specific ways they can make a difference in the community.
