Program areas at Leach Garden Friends
Botany & horticulture - the pollinator Garden continued to fill out in its second year under the supervision of the horticulture team. Plans were developed for horticultural additions to the rock Garden and the beds alongside the grand staircase, to take place in 2023.
Education - the back five educational program continued apace in strong partnership with five community-based organizations, providing education in sustainability, ecology, restoration, and horticulture for area students. Reclamation and workforce training on habitat continued.a season of public programs, some for children and some for all ages, were presented, among them nature fair, childrens' concerts, all ages concerts in a variety of musical genres, and a 3-part public lecture series on climate change.
