Program areas at Laudato Si Project
Educational programs; our educational programs include ecological programs for schools and families, speaking and presentations at parishes, and day retreats for schools and parishes. We hosted 645 hours of educational programs in 2023.
Prairie plantings; to help live out our mission of restoring humanity's connection to the natural world, we do educational butterfly garden and prairie plantings. In 2023, we planted 1.5 acres of prairie on public use lands and preserves.
Stewardship work days; our stewardship work days are a way to engage the public in service to better the ecological value of our natural areas. This includes volunteer service to remove invasive species, put up educational signage and create nature trails. In 2023, we logged 2,600 hours of stewardship working with over 55 schools and parishes in southeast Wisconsin.
