Land O'Lakes Venture37 provides in-kind, financial and technical assistance to communities and individuals in developing countries. 2022 projects included the following:bangladesh:the usda-funded bangladesh trade facilitation project (btf) will expand regional and international trade in agricultural goods by addressing systemic constraints to agricultural trade at bangladeshi ports; simplifying and automating import and export processes; improving the capacity of government agencies, laboratories, and warehouses; and by fostering private and public investment, especially in cold storage.ethiopia:gates paid grant - address genetics constraints to dairy productivity growth in tanzania and ethiopia by strengthening artificial insemination (ai) delivery through public-private partnerships (ppps). The project will establish financially sustainable private channels and more efficient and effective government channels for delivery of ai and related dairy cattle development services, and stimulate significant private investments leading to the inclusive growth of east africa's dairy sector.ethiopia transforming agriculture (sub to rti) - increase access to healthy diets, particularly for women and children, by improving the comptetiveness, inclusiveness and resilience of the food and agriculture systems.kenya:eac trase project - expand the trade of agricultural products domestically, regionally and internationally in the eac by domesticating the east african community sanitary and phytosanitary (sps) legal framework (eslf) and building capacity among key public and private institutions to ease sps barriers to trade.kenya forage development project (kfd project) - aims to empower women smallholder dairy farmers and increase the availability and quality of milk in the market in kenya.madagascar:maharo (subrecipient to catholic relief services) - a project surrounding food security in androy and atsimo andrefana. Venture37 will be involved with activities that aim to improve all aspects of the livestock value chain, with a focus on vulnerable households and members of the community, such as pregnant/lactating women, children under 5, and people with disabilities.malawi: mcat - activities on this project will drive and accelerate the transformation of malawi's agricultural economy and foster farmers who are prosperous, resilient, diversified and food-secure. Mozambique:rama - support usaid feed the future crops in the beira corridor; equitably increase agricultural productivity and climate resilience by increasing adoption of resilient agricultural technologies and practices.rwanda: row - will sustainably increase the availability of, access to, and consumption of animal-source foods (asf) through development of a profitable market. Lebanon:linq - partnering with high potential agri-businesses, processors, and growers of fresh produce to improve productivity and food safety. Tanzania inclusive processor-producer partnerships in dairy project (ti3p) - a three-year project lead by the tanzania agricultural development bank (tadb) and funded by the bill and melinda gates foundation (bmgf). Land O'Lakes Venture37 is a subawardee of tadb, along with bain & company, inc. (bain) heifer international, and global dairy platform (gdp). Land O'Lakes Venture37 will contribute to inclusive agricultural transformation goals by enabling public-private partnerships to (a) increase the incomes of small-scale producers by enabling inclusive access to formal milk aggregation, processing, and marketing systems; (b) sustainably increase on-farm production, productivity and income of small-scale dairy producers by enabling them access to effective inputs and services (e.g. Cattle vaccines, feed, forage and genetics); (c) increase women's economic empowerment by developing and implementing gender-transformative approaches to enhance women's participation in the dairy value chain and increase their access and control over productive assets; and (d) increase equitable access to improved quality dairy nutrition by improving the distribution and sales of safe and affordable milk and milk products in both rural and urban areas and both formal and informal channels.other projects are:cd4 - seeks to build the capacity of apex organizations and primary cooperatives in rwanda and malawi to increase the competitiveness of cooperative members in the market place.f2f fsq - providing expert volunteers to support processing and producing organizations and businesses in lebanon, egypt and morocco.
