La Familia currently provides a variety of services to assist with CARES and COVID pandemic. We have provided Outreach to marginalized communities to provide information on COVID safety protocols, where to get vaccinated and about testing opportunities. La Familia has weekly held on site COVID testing events. These events are free and conducted in conjunction with the county and other partners. In addition to COVID testing, we have also been instrumental in helping to vaccinate hard to reach communities. We have hosted vaccine clinics on site or coordinated them at strategic locations throughout the county. We have been partnering with local and state governments to reach our agricultural community through Housing for the Harvest and provide access to testing, vaccinations, financial resources, wage reimbursement, housing and health assessments for eligible community members. In addition La Familia has helped COVID impacted families by providing PPE, food resources, financial assistance and help with completing housing support programs. We have been working with businesses to help train recruit and train employees by offering workshops on digital literacy and employment skills. La Familia has also been working with Senior Citizens and youth to address isolation and other impacts of COVID.
