Program areas at For Her
Licensed Professional Counseling - Our mental health services provide culturally-grounded, trauma-informed, and evidence-informed interventions and care for adult women impacted by trauma. We also provide group counseling to address the personal, social, parental, relational, and vocational effects of trauma and other stressors. (note: counseling expenses were paid in 2020 for services provided in 2021.)
For Her aims to break down barriers to upward mobility by providing education, support, and resources for women who are living or working in San Antonio, Texas, and surrounding areas. For Her serves teen mothers, foster youth aging out of the system, LGBTQ+ individuals, migrants, women who fall below the poverty line, survivors of intimate partner and sexual violence, and formerly incarcerated women. Peer Support - Through our Peer Support programs, led by lived-experience experts, we provide encouragement and accountability for personal growth and self-sustainability.
Community Education - We deliver engaging workshops that empower women to interrupt cycles of trauma and advance toward self-sufficiency and holistic well-being. Topics include women's health, interpersonal skills, digital literacy and professional development.
