Tootsie roll drive program-this activity raises money to support intellectually challenged individuals. The tootsie roll committee raises funds through a mailing request to local businesses to support the cause, followed up with a fund raising activity at doors of local merchants. At the fund raiser, members give away tootsie rolls specially purchased from the supreme Council tootsie roll drive program. The tootsie rolls have messaging on the wrappers supporting the cause. Each year, Council members select a charity that supports the intellectually challenged ( ie: moore center corp, inc.).
Roland casey scholarship program- this program, dedicated in name of a charter member, was established to provide financial aid to college students supplementing their college needs & expenses. The scholarship committee accepts and reviews applications each spring to determine annual recipients. Fund raising comes from(but is not limited) to 120 club fund raising, state charity raffles & local donations.
40 cans for lent- parishioners contribute one can of food for each of the 40 days of lent, which are donated to the hooksett community food pantry at 35 main street. Monetary donations are also accepted at the Council meeting or in the mail.
Hooksett emergency relief committee(herc) support-our Council has taken on the responsibility of supporting our community needs through a hooksett town program. This program is dedicated to providing resources to local individuals and families that qualify for assistance. At easter, thanksgiving, & christmas members help with distribution of food baskets, clothing & christmas toys. Through 120 club fund raising activities moneys have been donated in times of need. Hooksett community food pantry(hcfp)- members devote their time throughout the year working in the hcfp. They pick up food at local grocery stores, food banks, & community donations through local resources such as boy scout food drives & usp s letter carrier food drives. Inside, members sort, store & distribute food to local individuals & families that qualify for assistance. Some 120 club fund raising has been donated toward this organization.rsvp program-this program is designed to support our catholic church by providing financial assistance to young men entering into religious studies in seminaries. Each year the state Council assigns a seminarian for our Council to support. We continue to support the seminarian up to his priesthood. Through the year, 120 club fund raisers, 50/50 raffles & donated money toward this program is sent to the supreme Council to contribute to our seminarian. This program is generally supported annually and is administered by the financial secretary after a voice vote of the Council.
