Provides non-commercial television programming to the austin, Texas area reaching a potential audience exceeding 736,000 households. Acquires, curates, and distributes programming from the Public broadcasting service (pbs) and various other programming distributors; broadcasts four (4) digital channels 24 hours a day year round; provides programming to multiple cable operators, two satellite operators and a wide range of online/digital distribution channels/sites.
Educational and outreach services provide programming, instruction, and supplies for schools, child care facilities and parents. Serve approximately 15,000 individuals during the year via ready-to-learn, play-to-learn, and related projects. Provide professional development and educational video through pbs learning media and other media. Direct costs only. Funded by educational institutions, businesses, private donations, and other non-profits. Conduct community discussions, events and screenings, approximately 12 per year. Due to covid events usually held in person were held virtually.
Create approximately 75 hours of educational, Public affairs, and cultural arts and the content for the central Texas region and beyond; train students in production operations; conduct community outreach around content. Funded by donors, other non-profits and businesses. Provide support and feedback to local and regional filmakers seeking a wider audience.
