Program areas at Kiwanis Indiana Foundation
The Foundation supports the largest charitable program of the Kiwanis Indiana district, the riley children's Foundation (rcf). Funds are collected from district Kiwanis clubs and contributed to the riley children's Foundation to support their mission of servng the medical needs of children of Indiana. During the past four years more than $1 million has been raised and donated to rcf.
The Foundation primarily makes grants to Indiana Kiwanis clubs for the benefit of Indiana residents. The grants help increase the capacity of the Indiana Kiwanis clubs to support Indiana district projects and the mission of Kiwanis international for citizens of Indiana and the world. Grants are given to help support Kiwanis club projects that benefit youth, elderly, civic & community development, and health and human development. The grant application process is located on the Foundation's website and the organization has a detailed application process.
The Foundation provides scholarships to high school students sponsored by district Kiwanis clubs to support their post-secondary education to colleges and universities in Indiana. Funds are collected from district Kiwanis clubs and used to fund these scholarships. Scholarship recipients are selected by an independent committee of the Foundation.
