Rosc - recovery-oriented systems of care is a comprehensive system of services including prevention, early engagement, early intervention and treatment with an emphasis on recovery support services that build on the strengths and resilience of individuals, families and communities to take responsibility for the sustained health, wellness and recovery from alcohol and drug problems. In fy 2021-2022, there were 1,634 individuals who attended recovery groups, 439 peer support sessions, 232 case management sessions, 2,725 individual therapy sessions, and 462 psychiatric services were provided. The women's specialty services program is designed to address the complex needs of women who are risk for substance use disorder and are either pregnant, have dependent children or are in the process of regaining custody of their children and includes those with co-occurring mental health disorders. This specialty program addresses the overall physical, mental, spiritual and emotional well-being of women to promote optimal health, long-term sobriety and self-efficacy. Pregnant and parenting women are a priority for this program. In fy 2021-2022, there were 166 individual therapy sessions provided for women in the wss program, 206 group encounters and 48 case management sessions were conducted with 63 hours of peer recovery coaching.
Kdc psych services - outpatient mental health/substance abuse services for individuals who are not covered under the rosc umbrella. This program consists of a skilled team of behaviorial health professionals who perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, biopsychosocial assessment, individual, group and family counseling for individuals and families who have a history of depression, anxiety, panic disorders, bipolar disorder, psychosis, schizophrenia, obsessive compulsive disorder, substance use disorders or other emotional/behavioral difficulties. In fy 2021-2022, there were 529 individual therapy encounters and 24 psychiatric services provided.
Cbsg - project success is a program used to bring alcohol, tobacco and other drug prevention messages to students, parents and the community through school-wide awareness activities. Included in these activities are individual and group counseling sessions, parent awareness and education programs, referral and case management, and related follow-up. In fy 2021-2022, 932 livingston county middle and high school students were referred to the project success counselors, 520 middle and high school students met individually with a project success counselor for interviews, assessment/referral, and time-limited counseling. Of the 104 middle and high school students who received time-limited individual counseling, 50 students reported improvements in 2 of the following 6 areas: relationships, peer refusal, problem solving, attitude toward school, awareness of alcohol and other substance use risks, and alcohol and other substance use. Of the 491 high school and middle school students who participated in project success groups, 328 reported increased awareness of the risks of alcohol use, 330 reported increased awareness of the risks of using prescription drugs that are not prescribed for you, and 319 reported increased awareness of the risks of marijuana use.
