Program areas at Juneau Community Foundation
The Juneau Community Foundation strives for positive change in our culturally diverse Community and southeast Alaska by providing grants from our discretionary funds, donor advised, donor designated, agency, and scholarship funds. The Foundation also leverages grants from other organizations to support programs, projects, and capital improvements. Taken together these grants and scholarships have a profound effect on a broad range of important issues including improvements in education, health, social services, a vibrant arts Community, youth equity, and healthy activities.
The Community Foundation continues to grow philanthropy with the establishment of new funds: covid-19 food & Community assistance, teal street center project, book hook, friends of gustavus, senior citizen support, sitka sound science center sustainability development, tom & marianne manning art education, cameron vance memorial scholarship, bob and darlene (phelps) stutte scholarship; and, increased contributions to our Community impact funds in the areas of youth & education, arts & culture, parks, trails & recreation, and Community wellness, and our sustainability endowment.
