Program areas at The Neighbor Project
Managed and/or obtained existing homes and vacant lots to provide affordable housing and savings opportunities to properly screened low to moderate income families. Helping families stay in their homes by managing significant home repair projects on behalf of The homeowner: in 2023 nearly 20 households received pass through grants/forgivable loans exceeding $400,000 for repairs that included roof replacements, major plumbing repairs, upgrading of dangerous electrical, furnace replacements and more.
Maintain non-residential/commercial properties such as parking lot(s) and office building(s) to support housing and/or other aspects of The non-profit mission
Provided housing and financial counseling services to low to moderate income people to assist as necessary in avoiding foreclosure and/or acquiring safe, good quality affordable housing.
