Program areas at Joe Beretta Foundation
Local Lodging: TJBF pays for local lodging for VAD and transplant families. With this amount we were able to provide nights of 312 nights of lodging for families getting treatment at local hospitals. Without these funds families would not be able to relocate to receive lifesaving treatment.
Healthy Eating Program+Holiday Gifts: TJBF started Papa Joes plates to provide heart failure patients and their families an option for heart-healthy dieting that they can eat in the hospital and at home. Additionally JBF provides holiday gifts to all patients.
Short-term relief: TJBF offsets other nonmedical costs that families might have while receiving treatment at local hospitals. Costs include bills at home costs of transportation and costs of food while in Nashville or Pittsburgh.
