Ending domestic and sexual violence and promoting financial literacy and economic security - jwi confronts the issue of violence against Women and girls from many sides, from prevention programming for teens and young adults to education and training for thousands of professionals and advocates. Jwi also addresses training and education around gender parity as it relates to sexual harassment, workplace misconduct, and creating safe and equitable workplaces. Jwi teaches the importance of financial security across the generations - to girls and their mothers, college students and Women of all generations including pay equity. Jwi builds unique interfaith and faith alliances, convening an interdenominational Jewish clergy task force as well as an interfaith domestic violence coalition - both dedicated to preventing and ending gender-based violence.

Philanthropic initiatives to lift up Women and children; jwi invests in projects that underscore our mission and work. From opening brand-new children's libraries in nearly 100 domestic violence shelters throughout the u.s., and restocking their shelves, to sending special mother's day flowers and gifts to domestic violence shelters throughout the country to supporting Women's leadership and anti-violence initiatives in israel, and beyond.

Developing, promoting and deepening Women's leadership and mentoring; jwi has catalyzed the fastest growing national personal and professional leadership network for young Women in their twenties and thirties. The young Women's leadership network operates in new york, Washington dc, los angeles, san francisco, denver and chicago. Monthly programs include professional/personal development, mentoring, civic engagement and volunteerism. Jwi promotes intergenerational leadership by highlighting and honoring Jewish Women leaders while uncovering those who will rise tomorrow and then building a network of inspiration from one generation to the next. Jwi develops workplace leadership through its work to address pay equity, increasing Women in c-suite and on boards.
