Program areas at Jewish Vocational Service of Metrowest

Our Vocational rehabilitation program offers specialized services for adults with physical, intellectual, and/or developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder (asd). These services include our career discovery center, asd career center, job placement services, school-to-career transition services, Vocational evaluation services, deaf and hard-of-hearing services, and our skill-building through Service initiative.
Our education and literacy program provides english as a second language (esl) and adult basic education (abe) classes to immigrants', refugees, and low-income adults seeking to gain the basic skills necessary to successfully enter the workforce. We also offer high school equivalency (hse) and u.s. Citizenship exam preparation classes, as well as broader refugee services for those who need additional assistance and support.our career counseling and job placement services department serves job-seekers of all ages (with a special expertise in assisting adults 50+) by providing them with job search coaching, one-on-one counseling, career and education planning, and free, monthly job-seekers workshops and networking programs.our corporate training department helps area businesses upgrade theskills of their workers, reduce costs, optimize efficiency, andmaximize profits by offering a comprehensive portfolio of professionaldevelopment and training opportunities that can be delivered at jvs oronsite, per each client's needs.the center for economic opportunity provides training opportunities for inidivduals underserved facing barriers that includes certified apartment maintenance technician, certified production technician, certified logistics technician, and certified pharmacy technician.
