Program areas at Jefferson Park Ministries
JPM is making a meaningful difference in Union County, NJ,by providing and outreach to over 350 seniors, including elderly, low-income, and limited English-speaking individuals. Our mission is to empower these seniors by connecting them to vital services and benefits. With our dedicated bilingual staff,we deliver support in a culturally sensitive manner that enhances their quality of life. Additionally, we have trained more than 30 seniors to volunteer throughout the county, assisting children with reading, offering personalized tutoring, and supporting children with disabilities. Together, we are building a stronger, more supportive community for all.
JPM has conducted over 150 outreach events to educate low-income and immigrant communities on healthy living and their rights. We have served more than 3,500 constituents by providing vital support to access essential social services,including SNAP, job readiness program NJ unemployment benefits, health insurance, and food and diaper distributions.
