Public affairs: the organization worked to increase understanding ofthe global alcohol policy arena and various related topics emerging inrelevant multilateral fora. The organization tracks these developmentsand provides regular updates on these issues.
Science and policy: the organization monitored and reviewed International scientific research on the relationship between Drinking and health and social outcomes, as well as research on effectiveness of alcohol policy to reduce alcohol-related harm, in order to update and maintain a comprehensive evidence base for the development of materials and tools.
Multi-stakeholder dialogues and actions: the organization supported a series of dialogues convened by wilton park, an executive agency of the uk government foreign and commonwealth office, on effective whole-of-society approaches to support global efforts to reduce the harmful use of alcohol, and support united nations sustainable development goals (sdgs). This work has contributed to deliberation and decisions on industry actions to reduce harmful Drinking, including the launch of influencer guiding principles to raise standards to further minimizing chances of those underage seeing alcohol marketing, and global standards for e-commerce to prevent those under the legal purchase age from being able to purchase alcoholic drinks.
Communications: the organization conducted outreach with stakeholders through multiple channels, including meetings, website resources, electronic publications, and social media. This work included it development for its website. The organization communicated its activities to the global and regional media.
