To provide services, assistance and other activities of sufficient scope and magnitude to give promise of progress toward the alleviation of poverty, its symptoms and causes in northwest Minnesota. As a Community action agency, we build communities to support people in poverty with resources and opportunites. To provide health and welfare services to surrounding areas.

Program areas at Inter-County Community Council

Head start program - to educate and support parents to be teachers to their pre-school children and provide basic learning to low income preschool children.
Workforce innovation and opportunity act programs - designed to strengthen and improve the workforce by helping individuals with barriers to employment.
Low income energy assistance program - Minnesota - provides assistance to individuals with energy bills, weatherization to assist with energy savings through proven energy conservation techniques.
Homeless and shelter programs - provide temporary housing assistance to those in need.
