Program areas at Institute for Strategic and Equitable Development
Ised continued its presidents forum series, which focuses specifically on racial equity by developing peer-to-peer support and learning networks among foundation leaders. This year ised created the sankofa series (as part of the presidents form) to strategize and plan for post-affirmative action legislation (including recent shifts in support for dei programs, etc.) Ised completed the third season of the r.a.c.e. Podcast, which centers on a range of topics on equity, power, culture and leadership in philanthropy. Ised also collaborated on a new project entitled race, healing, and joy: centering black reproductive justice leadership. This project will be engaged in assessing reproductive justice (rj) organizations infrastructural assets, needs, and opportunities toward a self-determined rj ecosystem.
