Pany facilitated two very successful events over a two-day period, one organized by the candidates, and one for faculty only. Each event featured an attendance of 50 plus persons, and each showcased an engaged and thoughtful dialogue. Three accomplished candidates at various stages of their training explored their clinical dilemmas with senior analysts. This was organized and hosted by a second-year adult Psychoanalytic candidate and first year child/adolescent Psychoanalytic candidate. Case presentations given by a fourth-year academic Psychoanalytic candidate, a senior Psychoanalytic candidate, and a Psychoanalytic candidate from serbia in his practice development year, were insightful and thought provoking, and the discussion that followed was lively and enriching.faculty participated in the long-awaited conference on weekly frequency in relation to the quality and depth of immersion in analysis. An analyst, from the berlin Psychoanalytic Institute, presented case material from a three-times-per week case and another analyst, from boston Psychoanalytic society and Institute, from a four-times-a-week case, each including case material from two consecutive analytic sessions. Two discussants, followed with their discussions of each case, addressing aspects of analytic immersive process. The moderator, lead the ensuing animated discussion among the faculty and the presenters, during which all debated the topic of frequency and analytic immersion. This conference was significant not only because it addressed the topic of frequency as relevant to our training standards and requirements. Pany has three students in a practice development year, with our second, third, and fourth year students fully engaged in their classes. Pany welcomed a graduate and faculty member last week, with faculty member graduated from the child and adolescent Psychoanalytic program last spring. Additionally, 11 psychotherapy program candidates graduated in 2022, 17 students completed the first year of the distance learning program; 13 candidates are presently in their second year of the psychotherapy program with an incoming class of 14 students, as well as 26 prelude registrants, 10 fellows, and our largest cohort of 17 students for our newest course (started 2018), psychotherapy for psychosis.re: committees, appointed a New chair of the Education committee (ec).
