Program areas at ICM
Icm is a not-for-profit organization that provides home and community-based supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (idd) throughout the state of Arkansas. Created in 1988, icm began as a pilot project in partnership with the state of Arkansas to implement a 1915c medicaid home and community-based supports waiver for people with idd. Today, icm supports over 300 people with idd and has approximately 500 team members. The majority of funding stems from medicaid services that icm provides to people with idd within their homes and communities. Other state-wide services include therapies for children with autism, an innovative community center in little rock, foster care, and employment supports for people with idd. To support pre-employment skill readiness, icm owns and operates a retail store in little rock and a fried pie manufacturing business in prescott. The main administrative office is located in little rock, Arkansas.
Icm provides specialized foster care services to children with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Arkansas. In collaboration with the Arkansas department of human services, icm recruits, selects, and trains individuals and families to provide foster care services to children in need of a home.
The icm autism therapy program consists of home-based therapies designed to provide evidence-based interventions to children diagnosed with autism to cultivate life skill development and independence. Icm employs and contracts with board certified behavior analysts, lead therapists and line thereapists to deliver interventions. Icm offers two primary options for receiving autism-based therapies, autism waiver and epsdt (early and periodic screening, diagnostic and treatment).
