Idaho Music Educators Association

The imea accomplishes its mission by producing an annual high school state solo contest for students who qualify through their district solo & ensemble contests. The organization also produces two other annual events. At the all-state event high school students audition for one of four honor groups: all-state band, all-state orchestra, all-state treble choir and all-state mixed choir. At the in-service event, Music Educators attend 3 days of educational in-service training. The imea also produces a publication used to educate and inform its members.
