Illini State Pullers

The activities sponsored included competitive weight pulling contests for trucks and tractors in serveral equipment divisions. The contests are designed to promote competition, safety, and good sportsmanship amount tractor and truck owners, as well as develop an appreciation among participants and spectators of the mechanical skills and dedication necessary to build and maintain the pulling units. The members work together as volunteers to organize, promote, arrange, supervise and participate in the competitions. Through the development and adoption of rules and guidelines, the organization promotes saftey. Events are held each year throughout the State of Illinois and in parts of Wisconsin at various county fairgrounds and other suitable locations. Prizes are awarded to winners in the various pulling divisions. An annual banquet is held to acknowledge the winners and for socialization with families and friends.
