Program areas at Hypertherm Hope Foundation

This fiscal year, the Hope Foundation partnered with 137 nonprofit organizations to strengthen and create sustainable, positive change in the community and environment. Grant investments fall within a set of core impact areas that align the greatest needs in the community. The identified impact areas are: education, early childhood development, health and wellness, food and shelter, environment and transportation, united way match, and disaster relief. The organization created a special focus within our education impact area with the goal to expose, excite, and engage youth to the science, technology, engineering, and math (stem) fields. This is an area that poses a significant opportunity in our region. Green grants from the Hope Foundation are available to support our nonprofit partner organizations in an area that is likely secondary to their mission. We seek to support projects that reduce the environmental impacts of local nonprofits. Green grants will fund projects that tangibly reduce the carbon emissions of our partners. Stem grant examples: we were able to initiate a multi-year grant to fund the school partnership program from the montshire museum of science. The program is dedicated to enriching and connecting elementary school teachers in rural school districts to improve inquiry based learning skills. We have funded many robotics and lego league teams for children of all ages.
